In our childhood we all have got beaten from our parents and teachers with sticks. And we play with these sticks by balancing it in our hands and playing when they didnt notice us.

By using this trick Elon made an achievement in rocket science and   save millions of dollars .Lets see in detail. What Sciene is behind in balancing these sticks ?  and how he applied this we will see now

First we should know the principle how rocket works. They have Boosters in their side which is filled with propellants like solid or in liquid state.They are called as rocket boosters which are in cylindrical in shape. 
Solid propellant - Aluminium Perchlorate ,Aluminium Powder
Liquid Propellant - Liquid Hydrogen,Liquid Oxygen

  For light weight Rockets Liquid Propellant is used 
For weight high Rockets Solid and Liquid Propellants both are used  for upllifting the rocket to escape from space.
If you see after rockets goes to Space the boosters are released into Space and it drops into the ocean . As it is dropped in ocean the ocean so many parts are damaged because of it.Again they will replace the parts and refill the fuel and attach for other rockets.

 The main problem is the repairing cost is so high and this was noticed by Elon Musk we should make the boosters to land in earth and not on oceans so that we dont want to repair these and simply we can fill the fuel and reuse and he told that I can do it.
Then all others told that Even NASA cant do it , how you can?But he used the science behind balancing the sticks.

If we wan balance the both centre of gravity and the total weight distribution in a straight line it is possible to balance it. By this technique we can bring back the  Rocket  Boosters back to earth he believed. He made some alterations in the rocket boosters like  and sent to space.

After certain point the rocket boosters were left in space and with the help of nitrogen gas it turns its direction back to earth and he sent it with the return fuel also and while landing with the help of sensors the nozzle tries to keep the Centre of  Gravity in a straight line and at last it lands with the stands.
He was successfull in his attempt. By this he saves 30% of money which is used to send a rocket approx 7 million Dollars.
